I just got back a few days ago from my amazing boyfriends house!! He came out to San Diego for a week first to meet my family and friends, then I went back to North Carolina with him and his grandma for a week. We had so so so so so so so much fun.
They came in Sunday night December 26th and my mom and I went to the air port to pick them up. I was so stinkin excited to finally be able to hold him again. Their airplane came in early and we weren't even at the airport yet. I was freaking out and told my mom she needed to drive faster hahaha. So my mom and I were looking at the display board to see what gate they were coming in and all of a sudden his arms were around me and it scared the crap out of me. So I turned around and gave him the biggest hug and kissed him!!! Then I introduced him to my mom and his grandma too. Then we were off to the house for dinner. My mom had made chili and it was delicious. He got to meet my dad and Areo then a little later my sister came home so they got to meet her. We hung out around the house for a bit and had some dinner. Then we took Grandma back to the hotel and Chris and I went to my friend Katie's house. All my friends were over there for a game night and they couldn't wait to meet Chris. Right when I walked in the door I said we're here! And everyone looked over, Amber, Vanessa, and Krystal jumped up and started screaming. They ran over to us and pretty much tackled him. We hung out there for a while and played games. Then it was time to go home and get some much needed cuddle time! Right after Chris went into the guest bedroom so we could go to sleep, my friends came over and tped my car, go figure. hahaha. so i went and got Chris to help me clean it up. It was a mess but pretty funny.
Monday we got up and finished cleaning my car up. Then Amber, Vanessa, Krystal, Blake, Travis, and Keley came over so we could go to Japan House. It was obviously Chris' first time and I was really excited he got to go. He was nervous and wasn't sure he'd like it but he did. We had so much fun hanging out with my friends. Then they all came over to the house and hung out before the party. Brandon, Kendra, and the girls came to town and so many people came. The Kohlers, Cindy, my grandparents, Chris and Erin Popke, Bunny and Chris, Lisa and Robert, Emily and RJ, Katie, Kim, the Langs, and probably even more people than that it was insane. I felt really bad for Chris but he took it like a champ that's for sure. He met everyone and went from room to room to talk to them all. I was the one who was overwhelmed lol. But after we went out again with my friends to Coronado. It was freezing but we had fun. We went to hotel del and walked around, took pictures, then walked on the beach. It was Chris' first time seeing that Pacific ocean. Then we went to downtown and walked around for a few blocks. Then it was time to go home and cuddle some more (we had to make sure we got a lot of that in!).
Tuesday we woke up and went to Liberty Station. It's a naval base downtown that's right on the water. We walked around for a bit and of course took pictures. It was me, my mom, Chris, Grandma, Bethany, Brandon, Kendra, Peyton, Amber, Rusti, and Becky. After we walked around for a but we went to eat at Corvette Diner. I honestly can't remember what we did after that hahaha. We probably just hung out at the house and relaxed.
Wednesday morning we got up bright and early and went to Disneyland!!!! It was just me and Chris that day but we had so much fun. It was raining most of the day which kind of sucked but I loved being able to spend the day just me and him. We went on all of the major rides and some of the smaller ones. I even got to see Goofy and freaked out! Chris thought I was crazy lol. We got there when it opened so we just stayed long enough to see the parade and take a picture in front of the castle while it was all lit up. I was sooooo tired so Chris drove home and I slept on and off the whole time, poor guy :p Chris had bought Peyton and Amber some toys, coloring books and suckers. They were still wide awake when we got home so he gave them their gifts and they loved them! They colored him a picture while eating their suckers. Then Thursday morning while they took a bath, they played with their toys. Either Wednesday or Thursday night we watched Toy Story 3 with them, I can't remember which it was. The girls absolutely loved Chris!!
Thursday we got to go to my grandparents house for lunch with Chris' grandma. It was just the 5 of us which was nice. We just got to relax and spend time together. My grandma made lunch and a lot of it! Then we drove down through Torrey Pines to La Jolla and we walked around there for a bit. That was one of the things Grandma really wanted to see. It was a cold but beautiful day to see the beach! Then that night, my dad, Chris, Brandon and Andy went to the Holiday Bowl game together. While they were there I went shopping with my mom for work and got all of that stuff done.
Friday me, Chris, Grandma, my mom, my dad, and Bethany went to Julian. It was freezing!!!! But we a lot of fun. We went in different shops and looked around. Then me, my dad, Chris and Grandma went into Soda Fountain and got milkshakes, they were delicious! My mom also bought an apple pie that we had later that night for New Years Eve. After Julian I got some really bad news. I got my letter from UNCG and I didn't get accepted. I cried for the rest of the night. I made Chris read it to me because I was too nervous to. I was so upset. It's still really really really really hard but I know that Chris and I will be able to make it through this. It's going to be hard but we'll be able to figure something out. I had the hardest time staying up until midnight. I actually fell asleep and Chris woke me up like 2 minutes before so we could kiss, say happy new year and go to bed lol. It was a day of a lot of ups and downs but over all it was good!
I loved the trip and the time Chris got to spend with my family and friends. But the next day, January 1st 2011 we got on a plane and flew back to North Carolina together.
It has taken me waaaay too long to finish this. i don't even know if I can remember all of what happened on each day lol. so it'll just be everything we did in no particular order :p
one day we went to the tar heel game (this was definitely on Sunday). it was a lot of fun but kinda stressful. we found the place fine but we parked then went to walk to get lunch. but it was raining and we had no idea where we were going. so we both ended up being soaked and my feet we drenched, i was miserable. and i got pretty mad at chris. he wanted to keep walking and so i just kept following him. i felt bad that i was in a bad mood because this was supposed to be his day and an exciting thing, but i couldn't help it. so then we never found the place we wanted to eat, went back to the stadium and got nachos and a drink. then we sat back and watched the tar heels kick butt! then i'm pretty sure we went back to his house and watched a movie. hahaha. we watched so many movies :p
then monday we had to go to his school. that was a waste of time. lol. he thought he had to get a piece of paper stamped and we stood in line for 2 hours. then when we got to the front of the line, we found out he didn't need to get it stamped. go figure! then we had to get his books and parking sticker. i don't remember what we did the rest of the day. we went to wal mart a few times and probably watched a movie haha.
i think on tuesday we went to the mall with his friend Ryann. we had so much fun. we picked her up and i got to meet her mom. we stayed there and talked for a while about me moving out. her mom is great! she's been helping me find a place to stay for when i move out there this summer :) we went to eat lunch at subway then we went to the mall and shopped around. we went to old navy, hot topic, and a few other stores. then we got milk shakes and took ryann home. and we probably watch a movie and i'm sure i fell asleep about 5 minutes after we started it.
i have no idea what we did on wednesday. hahaha. i know one day we went to the movies on a date :D we went and saw country strong. it was really good and we enjoyed our night together. then one day we just hung out with donna and watched movies. we watched the sugar bowl and ate lots of yummy food. one night me and chris went to bojangles for dinner, yay! it was delicious.
then on saturday we went to lunch at applebees then we went to old salem. it was soooooo cold. but we walked around and went into different stores, took a walk in their little park and went to see the grave sites. old salem was so pretty. but i want to go back over the summer because more stores are open and there are people outside doing every day tasks that the moravians did when they first got to salem. then that night went to church. wow that was an experience. i like his church it was just very different from what i'm used to. i didn't really care for his priest and it was really, i dunno i guess rehearsed. i didn't really like how they priest would say the prayers from a book. to me when people repeat the prayers over and over again its very impersonal. but i enjoyed being there with chris. we'd been waiting to be able to go to church together and we finally got to.
then comes sunday, the day i went home. it was sooooo hard. i was trying to not cry all day because i didn't leave till later in the evening. but someone would say something about what they had to do next week and i'd start crying cause i knew i wouldn't be there. i cried during lunch thinking about how it was my last meal with all of them for a while. gosh it was so hard. then i had to say bye to everyone. chris and his grandma drove me to the airport and chris went inside with me. we sat for a little while and he just held me while i cried my eyes out. having to say bye to him again was sooo hard. i never wanna do it again for more than a week or two at a time. it's hard saying bye and knowing i'm not gonna be able to hold him or kiss him again for months. it's horrible. but i had to do it. i had to walk away from him again and go through security on my own.
but now i know that soon we'll be together again for more than 2 weeks at a time. in less than 5 months i'll be able to see him every day, or almost every day. i'll be able to just call him when i'm having a bad day and go to his house or have him come to where i'm staying to make me feel better. i can't wait until we can do that!
so that was our 2 weeks in heaven! i can't wait to spend more time with him and get to know him even better!
